Future Workshops
The June 2018 workshop is the third Athena in Action workshop. Each workshop includes about 45 graduate student participants and about 12 faculty mentors. We will soon start planning and fundraising for future Athena in Action workshops. We anticipate two kinds of future workshops: regional workshops, and general workshops like the first three workshops.
An anonymous donor has donated a substantial sum, through Rutgers University, which we expect to provide partial funding to four regional Athena in Action workshops. Please get in touch with us (at [email protected]) if you are interested in hosting a regional Athena in Action workshop at your university. (We anticipate expecting host universities to provide about $10,000 in funding per regional workshop, which would be matched by our funds.)
We hope to continue to have the general Athena in Action workshops every two years, as we have had them, so that after the June 2018 workshop, the next workshop would be in the summer of 2020. We hope to rotate the workshops among several host universities. If you are interested in hosting an Athena in Action workshop at your university, please get in touch with us at [email protected]. (Note that the general workshops require substantial funding from the host school.)
